konigliche porzellan manufaktur known as kpm or the royal pocellain manufactury of berlin was founded in 1763 by king frederick ii of prussia.
not only is this an early example of a kpm porcellain cup, it has an old and unique repair. the metal handle addition to the cup gives the cup a charming folk art appeal, the cup has its own personality, the repair gives us an insight into its history and the importance and value the owner held for it.
