a Large pint sized mug made from a cream glazed earthenware with a curved handle. Printed design in black ink features scenes from the Bayeux Tapestry in two parts, one on top of the other, around the mug with text below interpreting the scenes, including: 'The English holding a hill'; 'ODO cheers on his troops'; 'EUSTACE points out William'; 'HAROLD's men are attacked'; 'HAROLD's men are killed'; 'HAROLD is wounded by an arrow'; HAROLD is killed'; 'The English flee from the field'. Around the top of the rim is a pink line, with a blue line encircling the bottom rim of the mug.
