a bowl made from the teak of HMS. terribleHMS Terrible was a large protected cruiser of the powerful class built by j&g Thompson on clydebank. She is famous for her role in the second boer war, where she and her sister ship Powerful landed naval brigades to relieve the Siege of Ladysmith. Later, during the first world war, her armament was removed and she was used as a troop and accommodation ship, eventually being renamed ts fishguard iii before being sold for scrap in 1932.
