ralph freeman born in london studied art at harrow school of art
and st. martins 1961 - 1965
until 1983 ralph worked in several creative industries, including as a musician, before concentrating solely on painting.
1988 saw a move to st ives cornwall where he was elected to the newlyn and pewith society of artists. in 1996 he was awarded an arts council tenancy of no 6 porthmeor studios st.ives. it was also in st ives that he had a solo exhibition at the tate st.ives.
an accomplished jazz musician, ralph established the st ives jazz club.
2012 saw a relocation back to london where he set up his studio.
